The potential for a real collaboration album between Drake and Kanye West is something that fans of both artists have been salivating over for years. As recently as the beginning of this month, the pair were talking about it together onstage during the second day of Drizzy’s annual OVO Fest. “Toronto, I got one question for you,” he said. “Is y’all ready for this album?”
It’s what makes the rise of this new billboard in Los Angeles so enticing. The large green sign reads, “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi,” and includes the logos of West’s label G.O.O.D. Music and Drake’s OVO Sound at the bottom.
Drake, who’s prominently used billboards in the past, spoke on the potential joint project back in April. “We have a few things that we’ve worked on, and it’s always just about finding a place for it,” he said at the time. “With [Kanye], you never know: He might call me tonight, and be like, ‘Yo, these two songs that we did are coming out.’”
