Former Arsenal striker, Kanu Nwankwo, says compatriot, Kelechi Nwakali, will do well at the club when he finally completes his move to the Emirataes stadium outside.
Nwakali has reportedly signed a five-year contract with the Gunners and is expected to link up with Arsene Wenger’s side this summer, although the move has not been officially announced.
According to the Former Super Eagles captain, Nwakali’s listening ears and ability to adapt will help him succeed.
“He is going to Arsenal at such a young age which means he could stay there longer than I did and develop properly, above all he could win more laurels than I did during my time at Arsenal,” Kanu was quoted as saying by the Daily Post.
“I have high hopes on him succeeding at Arsenal, he is so talented for his age and he has a very good sense of listening, he will succeed at Arsenal, I have no doubt about that in my heart.”
Nwakali was the MVP when Nigeria won a record fifth FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in November.
